The AMLA and the ECB signed a [memorandum of understanding (MoU)](https://www.bankingsupervision.europa.eu/framework/international-cooperation/understanding/html/ssm.mou_2025_AMLA~edbd31538f.en.pdf) outlining the basis for their collaboration. In this memorandum the practical arrangements for cooperation and information exchange are mentioned.

 Both entities intend to improve cooperation between AML and regulatory supervision, eliminate regulatory redundancy, and define information-sharing procedures.
