The FATF Plenary meeting took place in Paris last week, where several key topics were discussed. Among the highlights: the mutual evaluations of Belgium and Malaysia are scheduled for publication in December, and the FATF announced plans to research how criminals are using generative AI and AI agents to facilitate financial crime.
In addition, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Nigeria, and South Africa have been removed from the grey list. No new countries were added, and no changes were made to the black list.
